From September 2009 the training and assessment for employee’s undertaking high risk work will be managed by a registered training organisation.
The new license will be called a National License to Perform High Risk Work and will be recognised in all states and territories.
To obtain a high risk work license, applicants must be:
- 18 years of age;
- Be enrolled in a recognised training company with an RTO;
- Complete WorkCover application form;
- Be assessed by accredited assessors;
- Provide documentary evidence of competency:
- Training records; and
- Logbook.
